Generali Group premiums revenue climbs to HUF 121 bln in 2015

The Generali Group in Hungary saw revenue from insurance premiums rise 4.7% to HUF 121 bln last year, the firm reported yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

The figure is adjusted to reflect all regular premium payments but just 10% of one-off premiums, the firm said.

According to the report:

• Premiums revenue at Generaliʼs life insurance unit increased 2.4%.

• Premiums revenue in the general insurance segment climbed 5.7% on the back of corporate property insurance and vehicle insurance.

• Premiums revenue from mandatory vehicle insurance policies was up 18.7% and comprehensive policies brought in 9.6% more.

• Generaliʼs biggest unit, Generali Biztosító, had a 15.8% market share. Generaliʼs travel insurance unit took 0.4% market share and online insurer Genertel had 0.6%
