According to the latest meteorological forecasts, there is basically no chance of a white Christmas in Hungary this year.
The official website of Hungary's meteorological service says that the daily maximum temperatures could reach well above 10 °C between December 24-26.
In terms of precipitation, some rain is expected on December 24, especially in the southern and western parts of the country, but the two days after should bring about somewhat clearer skies.
According to a special weather map published on idokep.hu, the chance of having snow on the ground during Christmastime is 0% in most of the country, apart from the North Hungarian Mountains, where the chance of having a white Christmas is between 5-10%.
