Bumper apple crop

Apple crop is expected to reach 800, 000 tons this year. It will be the biggest crop in a decade as a result of favorable spring weather, the head of the Apple Products Council (APC) informed Hungarian news agency MTI today.
Since the harvest exceeds the country's processing capacity - 450,000 to 500,000 tons - , between 150,000 and 200,000 tons can be exported, said Ferenc Takács, head of the APC.
