New tractor sales up 7%

Farmers in Hungary purchased 3,335 new tractors in 2021, up 7.2% from a year earlier, agriculture portal Agroinform.hu said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Agroinform.hu said 1,588 trailers were registered in Hungary last year, up 5.9% from a year earlier.

The market leader was John Deere, with a 20.8% market share. Runner-up was New Holland, with a 9.2% market share, followed by Claas, with 8.6%.
