The seed propagation area of spring barley shows an 8% increase compared to a year earlier, according to the Inter-Trade Organization and Product Council of the Seed Association writes uzletem.hu.

The expected yield of around 6,000 tonnes could mean a renovation rate of up to 100% in the case of the calculated sown area, which is 10% higher than last year.

The current high purchase prices in the cereals market could lead to an increase in the area sowed.

The prerequisite for successful cultivation is early and optimal sowing, which the weather will fundamentally affect. There is no obstacle to producing the right quantity and quality of the final product from the point of view of the seed, said Géza Takács, the president of the organization.
