Hungary sees bumper wheat harvest this year

The quality of Hungary's wheat harvest this year is excellent and average yield is 4.2 tons per hectare, well over last year's 3.72 tons, the Rural Development Ministry said on Friday.
The wheat harvest has been completed on 99% of the area on which it was sown, the ministry said.
Hungarian Grain Growers Association (GOSZ) head József Vancsura said on Wednesday that Hungarian farmers were expected to harvest 4 million tons of wheat this year, up from 3.76 million tons in 2010. About 70% of this year's crop is of milling quality, he added.
