Autumn cereal seeds soon available

An adequate quantity and quality of autumn cereal seed will be available for the start of the season, according to the Seed Association Interprofessional Organization and Product Council, according to magyarmezogazdasag.hu.

This year, the Board published a net indicative price of HUF 123,100 / tonne for the seeds of an important crop group in Hungarian agriculture.

During the recently ended season, seed producers produced about 105,000 tons of winter wheat, 27.5,000 tons of winter barley and 6,500 tons of triticale metal-sealed seeds.

As Géza Takács, President of the Interprofessional Organization and Product Council of the Seed Association, explained, the expected stocks of winter wheat, winter barley and triticale seeds will provide a professionally acceptable renewal rate of over 40%.
