Waberer’s revenue up 5.3% in 2015
Hungarian road haulage company Wabererʼs Internationalʼs reported a 5.3% increase in revenue to €522.5 million as compared to 2014, despite less than favorable conditions in the road transport sector, according to a press release issued by the company today.
Waberer’s net income was up 12.1% on an annual basis in 2015, reaching €12.4 mln while EBITDA was €69.3 mln, amounting to 3.1% more than in 2014.
The company attributed an overcapacity in the logistics sector to a shortage of truck drivers and the EU embargo against Russia as well as the migrant crisis in Europe, which caused stricter border and traffic controls across the EU.
Wabererʼs International currently has 5,700 employees with subsidiaries in Poland, Romania, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
