AAA Auto Hungary plans growing sales, expansion

Automotive

The Hungarian branch of AAA Auto is looking to increase sales by more than 10% this year to approximately 70,000 used cars, while the firm is committed to keep expanding the number of branches and also the number of cars on offer, according to a press release issued yesterday (Wednesday). The most popular cars sold here are the Opel Astra, Suzuki Swift, and Ford Focus.

AAA Auto currently has a combined total of 42 branches in Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia, which is expected to have grown to more than 44 by the end of the year. “It depends on the completion of negotiations with owners of land and real property,” said managing director of AAA AUTO International Karolína Topolová.

Based on sales statistics to date from the company, Skoda is the ninth most popular brand it sells in Hungary, while Opel Astra is the most popular.

“The sales estimate for the AAA AUTO Group during the first three quarters of 2016 is currently 52,400 cars, which is a 9.4% increase compared to last year,” said Topolová. “This year we exceeded the limit of 6,000 sold vehicles over three months and we continue to remain very close to this volume. Thanks to these results we can optimistically estimate that the yearly volume of sales will be more than 10% higher than last year, which should bring us very close to the limit of 70,000 sold cars.”
