Hungary’s winery renamed Grand Tokaj
Hungarian state-owned winery Tokaj Kereskedőház has been renamed Grand Tokaj, according to a press release issued today.
The brand redesign of the firm – which will be the wine sponsor for the continental selection of the next Bocuse DʼOr taking place in Budapest on May 10-11 – is being assisted by Austrian wine expert Lenz Moser.
The Hungarian winemaker added that a bottling plant, currently being built with a HUF 4.4 billion investment, could be completed by fall. The plant is expected to turn out ten million bottles annually.
The grapes used to produce wine at Grand Tokaj are purchased from smallholders in the renowned Hungarian wine-growing region of Tokaj across an area of approximately 1,150 hectares, the statement added.
