The Budapest Pinball Museum, one of the most popular museums in the capital according to Tripadvisor, has announced the celebration of its fifth birthday with a special offer: instead of buying entrance tickets, guests can bring donations to charity.

This week, anyone bringing a gift may enter the museum, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal. The gifts will be forwarded to the Világítótorony Foundation, an organization that helps socially handicapped, disabled and orphanage-housed children and supports the elderly living with illness.

The museum says that the value of the donations is entirely up to the visitors, and may range from new or used DVDs to pre-packed sweets. Incoming donations will be complemented with the museumʼs own contributions, the press release adds.

Arranged by the foundation, a group of handicapped children between 9 and 14 years of age are set to visit the museum next week, with all donations handed out to them directly.

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
