Balaton Sound announces return of ’Safety First’ initiative

Awards

Hungarian electronic music festival Balaton Sound has said it will rerun its so-called “Safety First” initiative, originally launched last year to help young people become more conscious and secure, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The program’s goal is to minimize health, safety, and technical issues at the festival through preliminary communication campaigns, video tutorials, on-site presence, and advice from recognized professionals. With the help of an expert team and with the involvement of festival attendants, “Safety First” experts aim to educate young people on problems that might arise during a festival, such as drug use, alcohol abuse, and mental problems.

Balaton Sound, due to run July 3-7 this year, aims to involve its international audience in the initiative this year. The festival is looking for socially sensitive volunteers with good command of English to join its Safety First team. For compensation and further details, please visit the website of the initiative.

The lineup of the 2019 edition of Balaton Sound includes Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Marshmello, DJ Snake, and The Chainsmokers.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
