BKK issues tender for renovation of Budapest tram line

The Budapest Transportation Center (BKK) has issued a public tender for the renovation of an 8 kilometer section of the city's no. 1 tram line, the Budapest Mayor's Office and BKK told MTI last week. The anticipated cost of the project is HUF 41 billion. The renovation of the tram line is expected to begin at the end of this summer and be completed by the fall of 2014. The deadline for submitting bids in the tender is April 1.
