Zwack board proposes HUF 1,050 per-share dividend
The board of spirits maker Zwack Unicum will propose to shareholders payment of a HUF 1,050 per-share dividend on earnings from the business year ending March 31 at the firmʼs annual general meeting scheduled for June 27, 2018.
Zwack paid a similar HUF 1,050 per-share dividend on earnings from the previous business year.
Zwackʼs after-tax profit fell 1.7% to HUF 2.2 billion in its business year ending March 31, an earnings report released late Wednesday shows, cited by state news agency MTI.
Gross revenue dropped 6.9% to HUF 23.1 bln. Revenue net of excise tax and the public health product tax declined 2.3% to HUF 13.9 bln. Domestic revenue was down 3.4%, while export sales were up 7.9% as exports of flagship brand Unicum climbed 11.8%.
Domestic sales of own-produced goods fell 6.9%, but those of premium products, which are key to Zwackʼs business, rose by 9.4%.
Operating costs edged up 0.5% to HUF 6.1 bln. Operating profit fell 12.8% to HUF 2.6 bln.
Zwack spent HUF 780 million on investments during the business year.
