Transport

Hungarian low-fare airline Wizz Air will launch a direct flight between Budapest and Dubai in the autumn, sales director György Ábrán said on Wednesday. Wizz Air will start operating the flight four times a week from October 28. It will fly an Airbus A320 on the route. Ábrán said Wizz Air will also launch flights to Dubai from Bucharest, Sofia and Kiev. The airline expects 50,000 passengers on the flights and a load factor of over 80%. This year, Wizz Air expects to carry 13.5m passengers on flights, up from 12m in 2012. It wants to expand its fleet of Airbus A320-200 aircraft from 40 to 45 by year-end.
