Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced it will launch direct flights between Budapest and Berlin from March 13 next year, the carrier told state wire service MTI on Tuesday.
The new route will link Budapestʼs Ferenc Liszt International Airport and Berlinʼs Schönefeld Airport. It follows another recent announcement of a new Wizz Air route to Moscow from Debrecenʼs international airport, starting in December.
Spanish airline Iberia also announced yesterday that it will continue to operate its Madrid-Budapest flights even in the winter season, although the frequency of the route will drop from daily flights to three times a week.
