Wizz Air CEO József Váradi said at the press conference that operating costs of Airbus 321 models are 10% lower than those of A320 models, of which the airline currently operates 63. As a result of Wizz Air purchasing these new aircraft, the CEO expects to keep the company’s costs among the lowest in the European market.

The news agency reported that Wizz Air has placed orders for 26 additional A321 aircraft.

Wizz Air signed a cooperation agreement with Airbus to purchase 110 Airbus A321neo aircraft, worth $13.7 billion, to revise and expand its fleet, the airline announced at the beginning of September.
