Wizz Air launches Budapest-Varna route

Hungarian low-fare airline Wizz Air announced today the launch of its new route between Budapest and Bulgaria’s Varna as of August 3, according to a press release issued today.

The company is planning to operate two flights weekly on the route on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Along with the new route, the airline is adding more flights as of August 2 to its existing routes, Budapest-Palma de Mallorca and Budapest-Ibiza. The Palma de Mallorca route will have three flights weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays; while the Ibiza route will feature two flights weekly. The first Wizz Air flight to Ibiza from Budapest is scheduled to take off tomorrow.

With the addition of the Varna route, Wizz Air will be operating 51 routes to 22 countries from Budapest. This is the 11th route Wizz Air has announced this year from Budapest.

Wizz Air is continuously committed to the strengthening of Hungarian tourism through the expansion of its routes on offer from Budapest, Tamara Vallois, who was recently appointed the communications chief of Wizz Air, said.
