Wizz Air announces timetable, expansion at three airports
Hungary-based budget airline Wizz Air has released its timetable for the winter season today, a schedule which shows that Wizz will be flying to 29 destinations in 18 countries from Budapest. Those routes with multiple weekly flights scheduled include from Hungary’s capital city to Moscow, Dubai, Barcelona, Kutaisi (Georgia), and Thessaloniki.

Those routes with multiple weekly flights scheduled include from Hungary’s capital city to Moscow, Dubai, Barcelona, Kutaisi (Georgia), and Thessaloniki.
The schedule release caps a busy month for Wizz Air, with the company announcing expansion of operations at three other airports in Central Eastern Europe.
A fifth A320 airbus will be added to the Wizz Air fleet based at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport in order to accommodate two weekly flights between the Polish city and Malta to be launched in June; from this airport, Wizz will also increase the number of flights to eight other cities in June.
Mid-June will also see the carrier introduce an additional weekly flight from Sibiu (Romania) to London Luton. Originally scheduled to be launching just two flights from the Romanian airport to London, the addition of a third flight may be due to the carrier’s recent necessary shifting of resources due to ongoing problems in Ukraine.
Finally, from Tuzla Airport in Bosnia & Herzegovina, five new weekly flights to Dortmund and Eindhoven will begin on June 19. Upon announcing these flights, Wizz Air representatives stated that in the first quarter of 2014 – essentially the first full three months for Wizz operations at the airport – the airline had served some 22,020 passengers.
