Waberer's to replace 600 vehicles this year

Hungarian road haulage company Waberer's Holding will replace 600 old vehicles this year, business daily Világgazdaság said on Wednesday, citing chairman-CEO György Wáberer.

Volvo, DAF and MAN will supply the vehicles. Waberer's management will decide later this year whether to expand the company's fleet by a further 100 vehicles.

The company, which currently employs 3,660 workers, will hire 100-150 more people this year.

Wáberer told Világgazdaság that the company would adopt euro-based accounting from next year to prevent exchange rate changes from significantly affecting profit. He added that the company's management was consolidated from March and previously independent units were merged with the parent company. The changes aim to prepare the company for a stock exchange listing in 4-5 years.
