VISZ presents CIO of the year, Péter Braun prizes
VISZ, an association for leading IT specialists in Hungary, named Györgyi Agárdi Nagy as CIO of the year, with Dávid Csillag winning the "Péter Braun" prize at this yearʼs INFOHajó conference.

This yearʼs winner, Györgyi Agárdi Nagy, has been CIO of insurer Allianz Hungária since 2016, with more than 20 years of experience. She was responsible for the total transformation of the companyʼs IT system, the creation of a SOA-based three-layered application architecture, and the digitalization of processes along with the establishment of the relevant workflow system.
The 2018 edition of the "CIO of the year" race emphasized the connections between innovation, digitalization, and productivity. VISZ established the prize in 2002.
Dávid Csillag of state gambling operator Szerencsejáték Zrt. was awarded the "Péter Braun" prize for creating an understanding between IT and other business fields inside the company. His work turned rivalries and territorial defensiveness into a successful cooperative framework at the company, his citation said. Csillag was named CIO of Szerencsejáték in April 2016.
The prize was established as a tribute to Péter Braun, VISZʼs president until his death in 2016.
