Value of retail household-chemical and cosmetic sales rose 2% in 2012

The value of retail household-chemical and cosmetic sales in Hungary rose 2% yr/yr to HUF 313 billion in 2012, market-research company Nielsen announced on Wednesday. Nielsen noted, however, that the volume of such sales in Hungary declined 4% yr/yr in 2012. The market-research company said that 82% of the HUF 313 billion in retail sales of household-chemicals and cosmetics in Hungary took place in shops and drug stores of over 400 square meters in area.
