Winemaker inaugurates HUF 695 mln hotel
Hungarian wine producer Mészáros Borház inaugurated a HUF 695 mln hotel in the center of Szekszárd in south-western Hungary yesterday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.
The project was realized with the support of a HUF 494 mln EU and state grant. The three-star facility has room for 44 guests and also offers a restaurant and a conference room.
The Hungarian company produces an annual 7,000-8,000 hectoliters of wine and sells approximately 800 bottles to the domestic market, while exporting the rest to China and Spain.
In 2013, Mészáros Borház had a revenue of HUF 430 mln, and is expecting to double its revenue due to the current investment.
