Water supply company Aqua posts 50% revenue increase

Water supply company Aqua Kft (Mosonmagyarovar, NW Hungary) had revenue of HUF 1.4bn last year compared to HUF 945m in 2010, and projects revenue of HUF 1.6bn for 2012, Managing Director Laszlo Leitner told MTI on Wednesday.

Aqua Kft extended its service area last year as Janossomorja, which has a population of 6,000, and three other villages joined their network. Szigviz Kft, which provides water supply services in 11 communities in the region, also merged into Aqua Kft mid-year. Thus, the company now supplies water to 66,000 consumers compared to 40,000 earlier.
