Villeroy & Boch Magyarország completes HUF 660 mln of investments

The Hungarian unit of German kitchen and bathroom fixture maker Villeroy & Boch has recently completed investments of HUF 660m at its base in Hódmezővásárhely (SE Hungary), the unit's managing director Bálint Sebesi said on Thursday.

The unit has boosted annual capacity by almost 140,00 units to 1.3m, Sebesi said. It has made 80 new hires in the past 18 months, bringing headcount to almost 1,000, over pre-crisis levels.

Villeroy & Boch Magyarország had revenue of almost HUF 16 billion in 2010. Exports generated more than 80% of revenue, but the company also controlled more than half of the domestic market.
