Urbán és Urbán spends HUF 280 mln to boost wafer capacity

Hungarian sweets maker Urbán és Urbán is undertaking a HUF 280 million capacity expansion at its base on the outskirts of Budapest, sales director Csaba Csúvár told MRI.
The company is installing two new production lines as part of the investment which will boost wafer production from a daily nine to 14 tons.
Wafers account for 65% of total output.
Urbán és Urbán won almost HUF 100 million in European Union grant money for the investment.
Urbán és Urbán plans to introduce 3-5 new products over the next three years. The company had revenue of more than HUF 2.5 billion in 2011.
