Tolnatext revenue climbs to HUF 4.9 bln in 2014

Revenue of German-owned industrial textile manufacturer Tolnatext, rose by approximately 10%, reaching HUF 4.9 bln last year, managing director Róbert Horváth told Hungarian news agency MTI.
According to the director, turnover was boosted by increased demand from the European market for industrial textiles for insulation systems, asphalt production and the construction industry.
Exports account for 86% of Tolnatextʼs revenue. Last year, sales were up in Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine, as well as in Western Europe, while domestic sales rose more than HUF 300 mln.
This year, Tolnatext expects revenue to rise by 4-5%, Horváth said. The company, based in Tolna, southwestern Hungary, has a headcount of 230.
