The Takler Cellars of Szekszárd (SW Hungary) on Tuesday inaugurated a HUF 288m cellar.
European Union funding covered half of the cost of the investment.
The Takler Cellars made almost HUF 1bn in investments in 2004-2011 supported with sate and European Union funding, said state secretary Endre Kardeván, who participated at the inauguration.
Takler Cellars produces 5,000-6,000 hectoliters of wine a year, generating net revenue of HUF 450m, owner Ferenc Takler told MTI. Domestic sales account for 85% of revenue, but exports are on the rise thanks to sales in China, he added.
