Szilánk inaugurates HUF 2.4 bln plant, warehouse

Hungarian glass maker Szilánk on Thursday inaugurated a HUF 2.4 billion plant and warehouse near Szeged (SE Hungary).

Szilánk won a HUF 683 million grant for the HUF 1.5 billion plant. Another 250 million European Union grant was used for the HUF 900 million warehouse.

The Szilánk group, which will adopt the name CE Glass from April, had revenue of about HUF 7.2 billion both in 2010 and 2011. It aims to bring annual turnover back to pre-crisis levels of HUF 10 billion in the near future.

Szilánk employs 280 people. The investment is adding 80 to headcount.
