State asset manager to auction Republican Guard properties

The Hungarian National Asset Management Company (MNV) on Thursday said it will auction two properties used by the country's Republican Guard for a combined starting price of almost HUF 2 billion.
MNV will start offers for the regiment's guest house on the capital's grand Andrássy Boulevard at HUF 1.5 billion. Bidding for a property in the Buda hills will start at HUF 430 million.
The properties will be auctioned on May 10.
MNV decided on the sale of the properties, which it deemed unnecessary for state tasks, after consultations with the Interior Ministry and the Republican Guard.
