Somlo Spirit building HUF 800m palinka distillery
Somlo Spirit is building a HUF 800m distillery of "palinka", the Hungarian eau de vie, in Somlovasarhely (NW Hungary), managing director Peter Feher told MTI.
Mr Feher said the company won a HUF 338m grant from the Agriculture and Rural Development Office for the investment. He added that the distillery would have capacity for more than 350 tonnes of fruit a year.
Somlo spirit plans to inaugurate the distillery in May of this year but it will not start operating until 2013.
