Salgglas spends HUF 1 bln on new technology

Hungary’s largest industrial glass manufacturer Salgglas, a supplier of the vehicle-manufacturing industry, is spending HUF 1 bln on developing a new technology that will enable it to offer new glass products to its customers, Hungarian news agency MTI reports.

Located in Salgótarján, northern Hungary, Salgglas supplies automotive suppliers and car manufacturers including Porsche, Bentley, Audi and Mercedes. Salgglas won a HUF 489.5 mln grant from the European Union and also received national funding for its project.

The company’s revenue reached HUF 6 bln in 2013.
