Sales of retail govt securities reach HUF 161 bln in June

Net sales of government securities targeted at retail investors came to HUF 160.9 bln in June, bringing total stock to HUF 2.927 trillion, the Government Debt Management Agency (ÁKK) said today.
Net sales of interest-bearing Treasury bills added up to HUF 124.3 bln in June. Retail investors also bought HUF 21.4 bln of Premium Hungarian Government Bonds (PMAK), HUF 9.2 bln of Bonus Hungarian Government Bonds (BMAK) and HUF 570 mln of "baby bonds".
Retail government securities stock was up almost HUF 516 bln in the first half of the year, ÁKK said.
At the end of June, interest-bearing T-bill stock reached HUF 1.371 trillion. Stock of six-month T-bills was HUF 35.1 bln and the combined stock of Treasury savings bills reached HUF 376 bln. PMAK stock was HUF 686.5 bln and BMAK stock reached HUF 444 bln. Baby bond stock came to HUF 14.4 bln.
Stock of Premium Euro Hungarian Government Bonds (PEMAK) stood at €2.74 bln at the end of June.
