Public road maintenance company spends HUF 7.8 bln
State-owned road maintenance company Magyar Közút Nonprofit on Tuesday said it spent about HUF 7.8 billion on clearing roads of ice and snow and on other winter upkeep between mid-November and the middle of March.
The amount spent was less than in the previous winter, Magyar Közút said.
Magyar Közút has 856 snow and ice removal vehicles and machines. It owns 702 of these and contracts the other from partners.
