Print periodicals market contracts slightly
Revenue of Hungaryʼs print periodicals market edged down 2% last year in spite of a 6-7% decline in circulation, the head of professional association MLE told Hungarian news agency MTI.
Tibor Kovács said revenue of the almost 4,000 periodicals publishers in Hungary exceeded HUF 100 bln last year. Ads generated about HUF 34.6 bln of the total, while the online presence of print publications brought in HUF 5.6 bln, he added.
More than 7 million Hungarians read printed periodicals, he said.
