Phoenix-Mecano inaugurates HUF 1.5 bln R&D investment
The Hungarian unit of Switzerlandʼs Phoenix-Mecano has inaugurated a HUF 1.5 bln investment to develop a device for adjustable hospital beds in Kecskemét, central Hungary.
Hungary is Switzerlandʼs seventh most important trade partner and Swiss companies have so far invested more than €2 bln in the country, Swiss ambassador in Hungary Jean-Francois Paroz said at the ceremony.
Phoenix-Mecano Kecskemet won a HUF 658 mln European Union grant for the project.
Phoenix Mecano employs around 1,000 people at its production base in Kecskemét.
