Parliament scheduled to vote on 2016 budget bill next week

The Hungarian Parliament is scheduled to vote on the 2016 budget bill on June 23, after it approved an amendment of the the bill this Tuesday, to finalize the main revenue and expenditure figures of the budget.

Following the vote, with 115 voting in favor and 57 voting against, the budget bill was sent to the head of the Fiscal Council, which is expected to issue its official opinion next week.


The new budget includes a total revenue of HUF 18,500 bln, total expenditures of HUF 16,561 bln, and a deficit of 761 bln
