Pannonia Kábeltechnika revenue nearly doubles

Hungarian cable manufacturer Pannónia Kábeltechnika, a unit of Germanyʼs Prettl, saw its revenue nearly double to HUF 958 mln last year from the previous year’s HUF 555 mln, chiefly due to the broadening of its product palette, managing director Attila Emil Nyerki told Hungarian news agency MTI.
According to the managing director the introduction of two new – one for electric bicycles and the other for premium category cars –were the two key contributors to rising revenues.
Nyerki noted that the firm received a European Union grant valued at HUF 94 mln to build the necessary capacity to supply the Bosch E-bikes. He added that the company expects to raise headcount by 20% this year, up from the current 83.
