Number of fixed broadband internet subscribers rising

The number of fixed broadband Internet subscribers is steadily increasing, reaching 3.258 million in June, according to an estimate published in a flash report by the National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH), business daily Világgazdaság reports.

Compared to June 2020, the number of subscribers increased by 104,000.

In terms of technology distribution, cable modems still account for the largest share of subscriptions at 1.319 million.

In just one year, however, their numbers have grown by slightly more than 10,000, while the number of FTTx deployments, the second most popular, has increased by more than 157,000 to 1.073 million subscribers.
