MTel speeds 4G mobile net around Balaton

The speed of Magyar Telekomʼs 4G mobile internet will actually double in eight small towns and villages around Hungary’s Lake Balaton, Hungarian online daily nol.hu reported today.

Magyar Telekom, the Hungarian subsidiary of the German telco Deutsche Telekom, said the internet would be doubled in: Balatonfüred, Balatonkenese, Balatonlelle, Balatonszabadi, Fonyód, Gyenesdiás, Keszthely and Siófok.

The change means the network in this towns will reach 300 Megabits per second and, by the end of the year, MTel is planning to switch on 4G+ at a hundred more base stations, the daily added.
