Most Hungarian companies see minimum wage rise as threshold for pay increases
About 79% of Hungarian companies with annual net revenue over HUF 250m plan to use the increase in the minimum wage as a cap for pay rises across the board, a survey by economic research company GKI shows.
The survey shows 13% of the companies plan to keep wages unchanged or at most raise them at the rate of inflation, while 8% expect to raise wages under the increase in consumer prices.
Companies with annual net revenue of more than HUF 250m employ 1.3m people in Hungary.
