MOL drills exploratory well in Hungary
Hungarian oil and gas company MOL is drilling an exploratory well near Forráskút, southeastern Hungary, Tamás Székely Szabó, who headʼs MOLʼs drilling operations, said on Friday.
Drilling started early in June and is now at 2,542 meters, Székely Szabó said. The well will reach a depth of 2,950 meters when completed, he added.
Hydrocarbons were successfully extracted in the area for a period of about ten years starting in the mid-70s, according to Szabó.
