MOL cuts wholesale price of gasoline, diesel rises on tax hike

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL on Wednesday decreased the wholesale price of petrol by HUF 3 per liter to an average price of HUF 394-395 per liter, market participants told MTI.
The company will leave the wholesale price of diesel unchanged this week after raising the wholesale price of diesel HUF 7 per liter to a record-high HUF 416-417 per liter last week.
However, the HUF 13 per liter rise in the excise tax on diesel results in a HUF 16 per liter price hike including VAT from November 1.
Prices can vary up to HUF 20-25-per-liter at different pumps.
