MNB: Loans converted to forints reach HUF 8.9 bln in October

In October, redemptions of loans related to the conversion of FX housing loans and general purpose mortgage loans converted into forints amounted to HUF 8.9 billion, according to fresh data from the National Bank of Hungary (MNB).

Of this amount, redemptions of loans extended by banks to existing customers and new customers reached HUF 1.5 bln and HUF 7.4 bln respectively.

In the period of March-September 2015, redemptions of loans extended to existing customers and new customers respectively amounted to HUF 5.6 bln and HUF 26.1 bln.
