MNB fines Nyúl savings cooperative HUF 1.5 mln

The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) fined Nyúl és Vidéke Takarékszövetkezet, a savings cooperative in Győr, HUF 1.5 mln on charges of failing to comply with rules on payment services that it was earlier cited for violating.

The MNB fined the savings cooperative HUF 10 mln late last year on charges of the aforementioned violations and gave it until the end of January to correct the problem, Hungarian news agency MTI reported. Nyúl és Vidéke Takarékszövetkezet now has until June 15 to remedy the shortfalls, MTI added.
