Ministry, Budapest Transport Company sign contract for M3 renovation

Tibor Bolla, chairman of transport company BKV, and Flori谩n Szal贸ki, development ministry deputy state secretary, yesterday signed a contract to renovate the M3 Metro line, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
A total of HUF 120 billion will be provided by the聽European Union in funds for the renovation, as well as HUF 20 bln from the Hungarian central budget, National Development Ministry state secretary J谩nos F贸nagy said after the contract was signed.聽
Renovations will start in November and are scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2019, F贸nagy explained. As part of the renovations, all rails, control centers and security equipment will be replaced, elevators will be renovated and stations will be expanded, the MTI report said.聽
