Minimum wage in public work schemes to be HUF 57,000 per month from September

The monthly wage of full-time workers employed in public work schemes will be HUF 57,000 or HUF 78,000 depending on whether the job requires qualifications or not, according to a government decree effective from September 1, published in the official gazette Magyar Közlöny on Wednesday.

The weekly wage of full-time workers will be HUF 13,120 and the daily wage HUF 2,624.

Full-time workers performing jobs requiring at least secondary-school qualifications will receive a guaranteed minimum wage of HUF 78,000 per month, or HUF 17,950 per week or HUF 3,590 per day.
