MAV unit to start production of IC carriages
MAV-Gepeszet, the engineering unit of state-owned railway company MAV, will start making carriages at the end of January, after a contract for support under the New Szechenyi Plan is signed on January 31, MAV communications directorate told MTI.
The first "IC+" carriages will start carrying passengers by next year.
MAV-Gepeszeti is bringing carriage production back to the domestic market after an 18-year hiatus.
