Magyar Telekom Announces Share Buyback for June 19-26

Magyar Telekom will conduct a share buyback, announced in February, on June 19-26, the telco said in an announcement after the closing bell on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

MTel will purchase up to HUF 24.0bn of shares in the buyback on the Budapest Stock Exchange in daily trade, and through negotiated transactions based on actual market prices.

If the value of shares purchased during the period is under the HUF 24.0bn threshold, MTel plans to continue the buybacks in the autumn of 2024.

Erste Investment is the investment service provider for the transactions.
