Laurastar to invest €1 mln in Hungary

Switzerlandʼs Laurastar, a manufacturer of high-end irons and steam generators, is building a €1 million production hall at its base in Kapuvár, the local unitʼs managing director told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.

Construction will start in April and is scheduled to finish in the autumn, said Tihamér Tóth. The investment will raise headcount by 10-15% from 47 at present, he added.

The local unit Laurastar Services supplies 40 countries with spare parts and also repairs and refurbishes products. It had a revenue of HUF 235 mln last year.
